The LifeSkills program offers a variety of classes and assistance for those who want to make changes in their lives.   You can develop a new life plan that can include money management, case management, job skills or addiction recovery.  Call the counseling center at 937.667.4678 for details on how to get involved in this life-changing program.

The LifeSkills program is 9 weeks and includes:

Ginghamsburg Church offers a number of support groups and classes that are open to the community.   If you are experiencing divorce, depression, loss of a loved one, addiction issues, abuse or infidelity, you might consider attending one of these support groups which are led by lay people who have experienced these same issues.   You will find support, encouragement, and a sharing atmosphere in a confidential setting.  You may also find that God loves you and is faithfully lifting you up during this process.
SUPPORT GROUPS

Boundaries  is an 8-week class offered twice per year at Ginghamsburg Church.  Based on the book Boundaries by Henry Cloud and John Townsend, this class will help you identify the boundary lines between you and another person.   Boundaries will help you gain perspective on when to say yes and when to say no.   Group meets on Wednesday nights, 6:30-8 p.m. in the Discipleship Center 200.  Next Series begins Fall of 2012.

Breaking Free  is a Christian support group meeting on Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. in the Discipleship Center 105. This weekly group can help you sort through depression issues and life challenges you are facing, in a safe and healthy environment.  There is no cost, no registration, and no course materials required.  Group is open to anyone who seeks support for depression and challenges that are affecting life and relationships.  Prayer is offered every week.    Questions? DivorceCare  meets 6:30-8 p.m. at the South Campus ARK.  For those in divorce or separation, the videos, workbook and discussion topics offer hope and support.  Workbook is available for purchase, $20, at the class.  Ongoing, no registration necessary.

GriefShare is a special weekly class and support group for people grieving the death of someone close to them. Get support and encouragement through the video, workbook and discussion with others who have experienced this loss. Confidential group with prayer support meets 6:30 - 8 p.m. on Wednesdays in the Discipleship Center, Room 105. 

Post-Release Bible Study  is not just for men recently released from incarceration, but also for users/abusers of drugs and alcohol. The Bible study format gives practical application of God's word to life changes that we are experiencing. Join us for group support, resources, connections and prayer. Group meets on Mondays at 6:30 p.m. in the Discipleship Center 105. Recovery Groups/Classes 

AA (ongoing) meets on Mondays, 8 p.m. and Saturdays, 9 p.m. in the ARK (original Ginghamsburg Church) on County Rd. 25A.

Al-Anon meets on Saturdays at 8:30 p.m. in the Ginghamsburg Main Campus 117 after the Next Step Worship Celebration.  This 12-step program is for those whose loved one has an addiction problem; learn how to not enable and how to set boundaries for yourself.

Christian 12-Step: Get the Christian perspective on your 12-step program!  Make Jesus your higher power!  Receive support and encouragement while on your recovery journey in a non-judgmental environment.   Meets every Tuesday evening, 6:30 p.m. at the ARK. Men's Sex Addiction Group is support for those suffering from addiction to lust. This is a 12-step based recovery program that uses the SA white book as it's basic text. Open to men only. Meeting options are Wednesdays, 6:30 p.m. or Thursdays,  6:30 p.m. in the lower level of the Ginghamsburg South Campus ARK.  This is an ongoing group; join anytime; for questions, call Eric, 937.335.1513 or Reed, 937.475.5248.

The Next Step Recovery and Worship Celebration every Saturday at 7 p.m. in the main worship area of Ginghamsburg Church.  Community time 6:15 to 6:45; vast resources available with an abundance of information and caring people to assist you in your recovery.

Sunday Night Next Step 7-8 p.m.  Join us in the ARK for lively discussion on how the weekend message can affect our everyday lives and impact our recovery journey.  

Women's Support Network meets every Thursday evening in the Avenue, room 507 beginning at 6:30 p.m. This support group is focused on helping women whose husbands have been unfaithful in their marriage because of pornography use or extramarital relationships. Get support and encouragement from others who have experienced this situation.  Confidential group setting. ATTENTION: Group will not be meeting during June, July, August, 2012; but interested individuals can meet with a group facilitator for a confidential discussion whenever needed.  For more information, call 937.667.4678
